Mindfulness Day
for People of Color
at UCSD Cross Cultural Center
August 5th, 2007
10am to 1pm
Dear Friends,
You are invited to spend a summer�s day enjoying the ways of mindfulness in a community of practice in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. Practices will be guided by friends from Deer Park Monastery and will include guided sitting meditation, walking meditation, dharma sharings by Dharma Teachers Sister Jewel, Sister Susan and Brother Larry Ward, dharma discussion with Q&A, and mindfully eating a meal together.
Please bring a picnic lunch with you & bring a friend! The day will conclude with our shared meal and an optional session of Total Relaxation can be offered after the meal for those interested.
